OMC Power, a renewable energy service company is going to power mobile towers owned by Bharti Infratel using green energy solutions.

The company will power Bharti Infratel’s off-grid and poor grid telecom tower sites in rural areas using renewable energy solutions. The association will further the tower company’s commitment to green energy. The tower company has about 33,000 towers, of which 9000 are in off-grid/poor grid locations.

As part of the agreement OMC Power will provide Bharti Infratel with green power for a period of 10 years. It will set up micropower plants in off-grid and low grid locations for the tower company. These power plants will generate electricity, primarily using renewable energy sources and power Bharti Infratel’s tower sites.
