Exicom is the first and only company in India to have successfully supplied over 600 MWh orders of Lithium-ion Battery Systems in India and abroad. Of these, 450 MWh have already been progressively deployed and are working successfully for the last 4.5 years. Further, the company has successfully installed 525 KWh grid scale Battery Energy Storage solutions in India. The company’s Li-ion based battery solutions are robust, reliable and their good cyclic capabilities have helped customers to reduce site space, maintain high uptime and get rid of genset at a lot of BTS sites, thus making the network greener and more efficient. The energy storage solutions uniquely meet the diverse power and energy needs for diverse applications including grid scale, commercial and industrial, telecom networks. The products’ proprietary design can support paralleling of multiple battery modules enabling system design from 75 Ah to 2000 Ah. Apart from sound engineering design of the system, it has complex software and hardware to enable good performance for large battery strings and system controller also provides interactive user interface for all critical information, alarms, status, events and historical logs.

The company had introduced Lithium-ion battery technology that works successfully in different and varied climate ranges of India right from the coldest terrains of Jammu & Kashmir to the hottest places in Rajasthan to tropical regions in the states of Maharashtra, Odisha, and Kerala etc. with very high relative humidity through improvements at a very early stage. Further, with its core R&D and BMS expertise, the company has been able to successfully modify and innovate products suitable for local conditions and deployment in any part of the world. This sets it apart from competition and conventional system.

Recently, Exicom was awarded as “Energy Storage Company of the Year” at Energy Storage India 2018 Conference, Expo & Gala Awards Event. The Award recognizes Exicom’s perseverance, innovation and achievements in the energy storage landscape in India and also applaud the value it has created for the end consumers in the country.

Commenting on the occasion, Anant Nahata, Managing Director, Exicom, said, “We have been into this field from early stages and committed to take this industry toward unprecedented innovation and growth”. He also emphasized on local R&D, indigenisation and customisation of the products in accordance with the local market needs and how Exicom is progressing on all these fronts. He shared an ambitious target of deploying 1GWh of energy storage solutions that company has set for the financial year 2018-19.

Further, Naveen Sharma, Vice President, Sales and Strategic Planning,Exicom said, “We feel honored and excited to receive the award. With our advance Lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), we are leading the way in deploying technology and helping the industry growth by making their prices competitive through increasing their scale of deployment across various applications. This will help to establishLithium-ion battery storage and make them more affordable for consumers”. He further added that the data analysis of the already installed ESS Projects shall help in firming up of policy and regulatory framework.
