Tech Mahindra announced that it has successfully deployed Cisco digital network architecture at its Hyderabad campus, which has become one of the largest software defined campus networks with over 14,000 live users in India.

This new deployment builds on a long-standing partnership between Tech Mahindra and Cisco that will help drive outcomes around automation, analytics and security in Tech Mahindra’s off-shore development centre (ODC) which serves 106 customers globally. Through this deployment, the ODC onboarding time has reduced by over 70 per cent and can now offer enhanced user mobility and security.

Sharing insights on the strategic partnership with Cisco, CP Gurnani, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), Tech Mahindra, said, “Tech Mahindra’s partnership with Cisco is very effective and has converged on areas such as the Digital Network Architecture (DNA). Networks today across enterprises play a critical role but need modernisation to keep pace with the demands of today’s digital age. Modern networks are intuitive, data driven and enable a seamless convergence of business and technology. This is where Cisco’s leadership is helping reboot today’s networks and our collaboration in this space can create immense value. Leveraging Cisco’s technology, we have deployed one of the largest software defined networks in our Hyderabad campus. Digital is now business and it is all pervasive. In order to navigate the age of digital transformation, the onus is on us to collaborate and cocreate to deliver connected experiences.”

Meanwhile, Chuck Robbins, chairman and CEO, Cisco Systems, said, “We have a 360-degree relationship that is beneficial for both of us across many aspects, including areas such as cybersecurity and IoT. As the world digitises, the underlying technology grows more complex. Our partnership focuses on extracting that complexity out for our customers and give them the ability to digitise in an agile way.”

Expanding this partnership further, Tech Mahindra will take the digital-ready infrastructure that the company has deployed to its end customers, especially in the financial services, manufacturing, and retail verticals. In the next phase, the joint GTM will focus on tapping into the digitisation of opportunities in these verticals.
