Reliance Jio leads in 4G download speed chart for July 2019
Reliance Jio has emerged as the fastest mobile network in terms of download speed with an average download speed of 21 Mbps per second in July 2019 as per data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Reliance Jio’s network recorded an improvement in 4G download speed after it dipped to 17.6 Mbps per second in June 2019.
As per the speed chart published by TRAI, Airtel’s network recorded an average download speed of 8.8 Mbps, while Vodafone and Idea Cellular recorded download speeds of 7.7 Mbps and 6.6 Mbps respectively.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) was the fastest 3G operator with an average download speed of 2.5 Mbps in July 2019, followed by Idea with 2 Mbps average download speed, Vodafone with 1.9 Mbps and Airtel with 1.4 Mbps speed.
Further, Vodafone has topped the chart in terms of upload speed. Vodafone offered the fastest 4G upload network with an average speed of 5.8 Mbps in July 2019, followed by Idea with 5.3 Mbps upload speed, while RJio and Airtel offered a speed of 4.3 Mbps and 3.2 Mbps respectively.
BSNL, Vodafone and Idea recorded average upload speeds of 1.2 Mbps on 3G network in July 2019, whereas Airtel registered a lower upload speed of 0.6 Mbps.
