TRAI has set February 28, 2009 as the deadline for service providers to submit a detailed plan regarding steps that will be taken to improve voice quality and reduce the number of call drops in the network. In a written communication to service providers, the regulator has said that call drops, apart from being inconvenient, result in monetary loss to the consumers.
